I see stars….All Stars that is! Ex Fabula’s ALL STARS show at Turner Hall Ballroom featured season five’s crowned storytellers sharing various tales of Mother Lode proportions. Leah Delaney and Dasha Kelly joined forces once again as emcees for the evening, dishing random facts about the ALL STARS. 

Before the storytellers graced the stage Yelp’s very own Rachel Fell warmed the crowed up with some UltraShorts. Comedian Tim Higgins kicked off the evening with a tale of how not wanting a relationship eventually leads to marriage, with a costume themed wedding of course. Next up teddy bear whisperer Dave Hendrickson reminisced about his college days of beer and girls who liked bad poetry. Tom Shanahan’s hunting tale, complete with a few mishaps, eventually netted him a ‘mother load’ of a catch. After a short break, Virginia Pothier captivated the crowd by revealing what ‘mother lode’ means to a teenage girl: dating her crush after scaring the crap out of him. Last up Aims McGuiness shared how he became known as ‘the muffin man’ and gained profound insight into motherhood while living abroad.  As the votes were being counted, the crowd was treated to special surprise guests Shaquille Grandberry & Destinny Fletcher, each wowing & delighting the crowd with their powerful spoken word performances.

And the winner is….Aims McGuiness!! Congratulations on being Season Five’s Audience Favorite! Special thanks to our surprise guests and to all of our storytellers, tonight and from the entire season.
