You may have noticed we have transitioned our website from .com to .org. Please bookmark the new website address, www.exfabula.org, and update any existing bookmarks in your web browser.
While we may have shed a small tear when we ditched .com, we were also really glad to get a new url to better represent everything we do. Ex Fabula has been a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization since its very beginning. Our mission — and everything we do — is focused on strengthening community bonds. Ex Fabula’s new .org home online better represents that commitment to community.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support!
So many stories, so little time. I just listened to Anne Basting who was given a MacArthur Genius grant for her involvement with seniors ,engaging them in the Creative process of theatre & more.
I could not help but wonder how great it wood be to have Ex Fabula get Seniors involved in Story telling, because if anyone has a wealth of stories, it is a person who has lived & accumulated them for 80 years of living.

Hi Debra. Yes, we’re huge fans of Anne Basting and Timeslips as well! Currently, TimeSlips is using Ex Fabula’s monthly Slam themes as prompts for seniors with memory loss, and we’re reading some of the stories they collect as UltraShorts at our events.
We would love to bring workshops to Senior Centers and Senior Living Facilities – and we’ve talking to a few places about that sort of programing, but we don’t have funding for it yet. Hopefully sometime soon, all the pieces will come together. If you know any people that might be interested in getting this programming going, please let me know!
