We can’t wait to see everyone this week!
Lucille’s is located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Now, we know what a hassle it can be to find parking downtown, so we want to provide you with some transportation and parking tips to make your night run as smoothly as possible.
Our first suggestion is to avoid the hassle of parking altogether by taking the bus. The best route option is the Green Line, which runs from Bayshore to the Airport. The Water and Juneau stop is only a few blocks East of Lucille’s. Remember that buses tend to run roughly every 15-20 minutes in the evening, so please plan accordingly. If you don’t have a bus pass/tickets, fare is $2.25 and must be paid in exact change! We suggest looking up directions to Lucille’s on Google and selecting the “bus” option to see which routes will get you there. For schedules, visit MCTS’s website.
If you prefer to drive, there are a couple options. You might get lucky and find street parking around the venue – yay! But if the thought of circling the block and trying to parallel park gives you a headache, there is a 24-hour Central Parking lot a few blocks away at 1128 N. 6th Street. The rate is $5. For more info, visit their website. Coming with friends? Carpool!
Finally, you could arrange to take a taxi with Yellow Cab Milwaukee (414-271-1800) or American United Milwaukee (414-220-5000).
As always, for a smoother evening, try to arrive as early as possible. This will help ensure that you get the best parking and best seats, and that you have a little time to kick back and relax before the show. There’s nothing like scrambling to find a parking spot when you’re already behind schedule! Doors open at 6:30 – one hour before the show – and early birds are welcome to grab a drink and hang out before the show begins.
Of course, we don’t know everything around here. If any of you downtown parking veterans can think of any good tips that we missed, please feel free to share in the comments!
